The Cockney Rejects

East End Babylon DVD

Review by Gary Hill

It seems like this issue I’m reviewing quite a few documentaries about bands I never heard of before. This is one such act. This is one of two that had accents that made me struggle. Like I said on the other review, my favorite TV network is BBC America, so that really says a lot. Beyond that, though, composed of archival footage and lots of interviews, this is an intriguing story about an influential act that you’ve likely never heard about or heard. These guys were clearly a big influence on a lot of punk rock. I’d recommend this set to all punk fans. It’s a no-brainer that fans of this band will want to pick this up, too.
