Frank Zappa

Roxy The Movie (DVD/CD Edition)

Review by Gary Hill

The Roxy and Elsewhere album from Frank Zappa is considered by fans to be one of the best. Well, this DVD is sure to please those fans. This deluxe package includes the movie of the concert from which much of the album was derived. It’s a smoking hot Frank Zappa concert at the Roxy Theater in Hollywood. It’s great to finally see what’s going on at the show rather than just hearing the songs. This is the Zappa film Zappa fans have been awaiting for years. It’s every bit as good as you’d hope, too. In addition, this includes a CD of quite a few of the songs from the DVD. If you like Zappa at all, pick this up. You will love it.
