Vitesse

Live At Rockpalast 1979 DVD/CD Set

Review by Gary Hill

Apparently this band was fairly big on the European scene for quite a while. I'd not heard of them or heard them before. Their brand of funk rock is catchy and quite strong. I read that they were particularly well-known for their live shows. Watching this video, I can see why. They really rocked live. I love the funky bass work, and the fact that the bass player got an extended solo is a big bonus in my book. The video and audio quality are both quite good for the time, but then again, this was recorded for German TV. If you are a fan of this band, I bet you'll find this to be a "must have." For someone like myself, it's well worth seeing. Of course, it's always cool when you also get a CD of the music on a disc like this.
