Nitzinger

Live At Rockpalast 2001 DVD/CD Set

Review by Gary Hill

John Nitzinger might be one of the best known musicians you've never heard of. In addition to his solo work, he was part of the band Bloodrock and wrote many of their songs. He was in Alice Cooper's band on the Zipper Catches Skin album. Here we find him captured live with his own band. They deliver a blistering live set filled with hard rocking, bluesy tunes. It was all recorded for German television, so the picture and video quality are both great. In addition to the DVD, this includes an audio CD with all the songs on it. The video also includes a short interview. I think that fans of Nitzinger should love this. Those who have never heard his solo work should give it a try. The man is an amazing guitar player, and he can really rock.
