OMD - Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark

With the exception of "If You Leave" I never really thought much of Orchestral Maneuvers In The Dark, well I guess i was wrong.These guys are really good. This live reunion CD has an interesting mix of eclectic sounds to it from new age to pop.

All in all, it's a really good CD, and the show  it's from is released on DVD also.

Unfortunitally on the US version of this CD four of the 17 tracks ("Sailing on the Seven Seas," "Enola Gay," "Electricty," and "The Romance of the Telescope") are not included despite the rear CD cover stating that they are. Instead there is a sticker stating they are "only available" via download However, the UK release does contain the full 17 listed tracks.

Architecture & Morality
The disc's opening track is a ethereal sounding instrumental.
Sealand
While it has a bit of a new ageish feel, this cut includes a beat that almost gives it a trance like texture.
The New Stone Age
This starts off with an Enigma type of sound, and then  turns into a dancable tune with an Indian kind of beat.
Georgia
This is a pop sounding tune with echo and some interesting synth effects.
She's Leaving
A dancable cut , this has a really good new wave style beat.
Souvenir
This track has a definite'80's sound and feel to it that will take you back in time.
Joan of Arc
The more I listen to this cut the more I think of how the vocal style is a lot like Bruce Springsteen.
Joan of Arc (Maid of Orleans)
This starts off with a celtic sound, with pipes and war drums.
The Begining And The End
Here we get a medloic track with an eerie ethereal vocal style.
If You Leave
OMD's hit from the 80s, i always loved this song and it still sounds good over twenty years later.
(Forever) Live And Die
This is a slow tune with a tight melody.
Pandora's Box
There's a sense of urgency on this cut, with its fast beat.
Locomotion
The CD's closer is an upbeat song with some nice synthesizer work and a very  '80's sound.
