Ronnie Wood I Feel Like Playing Review by Gary Hill Ronnie Wood is, of course, best known for his work in the Rolling Stones. He has produced solo albums over the years, though, and this is his latest. The music isn’t a huge stretch from the Stones, but it’s got its own flavor. That’s due, to a large degree, to his vocals which are solid, but not Mick Jagger’s by any means. The album is good and Wood changes things up enough to keep it interesting. Why You Wanna Go And Do A Thing Like That For A slow acoustic based blues song, this feels a bit like The Rolling Stones meets Bob Dylan.

Sweetness My Weakness There’s a reggae element to this piece. The retro keyboards are a nice touch and this tune is tasty.

Lucky Man A harder rocking tune, there are definite Stones-like sounds here. It’s a great tune that gradually grows.

I Gotta See This time around we get a slower, bluesy number. It’s got some great retro sounds.

Thing About You Rocking out even harder, this feels a bit like old school Aerosmith to me. It’s one of the standouts of the set. The guitar solo is smoking hot.

Catch You A mellower track, this is quite a tasty number.

Spoonful There’s a real soulful groove to this rocker.

Well I Don't Think So Very much a classic rock styled tune, there’s a lot of R & B and soul built into this beast.

100% We get some psychedelia built into this number. It’s good, but not a standout.

Fancy Pants Here’s another bluesy hard rocker. It’s got some funk built in and some incredibly tasty keyboard sounds.

Tell Me Somethin' A rather balladic number, this is a cool retro rocker.

Forever Here’s another cool bluesy cut. It’s got a bit of old school country built into it, too. It gets quite involved and powerful later. It’s a real smoker.
