The riff that opens this has almost a bit of a punk rock vibe, but is arguably closer to something from early Iron Maiden. In fact, there’s definitely a NWOBHM element at play here. That said, the vocal performances bring a different angle to it.

Killing Time
In some ways, I’m reminded a bit of Axl Rose at times in that regard. Overall, this is cool tune that seems to merge that older metal sound with a more raw, straightahead rock sound. The guitar soloing at times calls to mind Slash, too, reinforcing that G’n’R comparison. Still, this is a blending of sounds that’s original and rather unique. It’s also quite strong.
