Slaughter and the Dogs Vicious Review by Gary Hill
Punk rock and roots rock seem to meet here. This occupies a lot of the same territory as music by the band DOA. I dig this, but not as much as I like that other band. This album also leans toward heavy metal at times.

Trust (All I Want from You)
Barebones rock and roll is mixed with punk on this opening tune.
Hollywood Whores There is more punk built into this. It makes me think of the Ramones a bit really.
Get It On (Bang a Gong) Here we get a punk rock take on the T-Rex classic. I like this quite a bit.
Someday This punk based rocker doesn't work as well for me. It has some charms, but seems to miss the mark a bit.
Stranded This is better. It's a hard rocking roots kind of piece with some punk in the mix.
Maybe If We Followed the Devil Starting balladic, I really like this rocker. It's more of a melodic, mainstream rocker than some of the others. It's also packed with "cool."
Ultimatum This one is more of a pure punk rocker. It's solid, but no frills.
Rise & Fall of Babylon Although this is a very punk rock based tune, it leans toward metal in the later movement.
You Got Class Very much in line with the kind of thing DOA does, this is punk rock with raw rock and roll at its heart.
Trash Talking Queen Punk and metal seem to merge here. It's a strong tune.
What a Day To me there is a healthy helping of Motorhead on the mix of this cut. The vocals are more in line with something from the 80s, though.
Situations Another hard rocking punk based tune, this is solid, but not a real standout.
