Violet Rose Plastic EP Review by Gary Hill The mix of sounds here hasa lot of pop music in it. It's definitely electronic music more than anything else. I was going back and forth on whether to include this under progressive rock, but honestly, the closing track made that decision for me. It's a brilliant electronic based prog rock piece. Track by Track Review

Turn Me On Trippy electronic sounds bring this into being. Once the vocals join it drops way down. After the first vocal section this turns out into some electronic dance styled sounds to carry forward. This is intriguing and unusual. It's also quite compelling. It works onward by bringing the opening vocal section back. This has some unusual changes and shifts. The electronic modes on it are so intriguing. The whole combination of sounds is really pretty well tied to some modern progressive rock.

Ignite This cut is much more percussively based. It has a great electronic music groove. The vocals bring a lot of magic to the tune. The whole tapestry painted here is dense and rich.

Plastic The title track comes in with some killer electronic melodies. The vocals are quite compelling. I think this is the second best track here, really. The vocals do get a bit over processed at times, though. It gets quite involved in the later portions of the track. There is a bit of an industrial kind of vibe at points, too.

Same Girl Piano start this. It gets more purely electronic as the vocals join, but the piano still remains in a prominent role. This is a melodic progression rather than a percussive one. This song is a full on progressive rock piece. It works through several changes, really intensifying as it works forward. They definitely saved the best for last as this number steals the show.
