Her show, opening for Dio at the House of Blues in Chicago, was definitely a crowd pleaser, demonstrating a band and vocalist working together in unison to create a metal soundscape that left little wanting. In fact, about the only thing that really marred the show for this reviewer was the short duration of the set. This however, was due to her position on the bill. Perhaps next time around Doro will be running her own headlining tour and be able to do a more extensive set of cuts. The setlist was not wanting for variety, however, including both old Warlock material and music from all sections of Doro’s career, including her newest CD. The choice of cuts should have pleased both fans drawn to her solo career and those who were into the Warlock era.
