While Emerson and Lake have toured recently, and Carl Palmer frequently performs ELP songs with his own band, real Emerson Lake and Palmer concerts are a rarity these days.

This first album from Emerson, Lake and Palmer is really a classic.

When Keith Emerson and Greg Lake enlisted Cozy Powell because Carl Palmer wasn't available at the time, I thought it was a strange idea.

This new four-disc (three CDs and one Blu-Ray) edition of King Crimson's debut disc is great. It has several variants of the music presented here.

This was King Crimson’s second album. Greg Lake continued to provide vocals here (with the exception of one song), although he had left the band.

This live album features a strong performance from Emerson, Lake and Palmer.

Years ago I remember owning this on vinyl. I bought it in a cut-out bin.

What a year it’s been, and not in a good way. Since the last issue of Music Street Journal went up at the end of January, we lost three great (and very different musicians).

This is a concert film of the Emerson, Lake and Palmer Pictures at an Exhibition performances.  

Apparently this album was recorded in the 80s, but has never before been released. I have to say that’s a shame. There is some solid music here. It’s definitely progressive rock, but on the AOR side of that equation. I’d say this is far closer to what you’d expect from Greg Lake than it is what you’d expect from Geoff Downes, but both men are represented well by it.

This is another classic ELP album that we’ve not previously reviewed.

The third album from Emerson, Lake and Palmer this has some great pieces of music.

This album is definitely a mixed bag. Of course, part of that comes from the fact that it is literally a collection of odds and ends.
