Fantasia - Live in Tokyo DVD

Review by Gary Hill

Asia fans rejoice, the reunion tour is now presented in DVD. I covered the CD release in detail, so you might want to check that out for the specifics about the music. Let’s just say that we get treated to a killer performance of Asia classics, King Crimson, ELP and Yes songs. The performances are top notch. In fact, for my money, I’d say they are better live today than they were in their heyday – and yes, I did see one of those shows. The sound and video are great and in general this is just a killer release. It’s a must have for fans of Asia, but prog heads in general should rush out and get this. While you are at it, pick up the CD, too – if you haven’t already. That way you can check this out when you are around a DVD player and listen to the music when away.
