Shonen Knife

Live At Mohawk Place 2009 DVD

Review by Gary Hill

This is fun. Shonen Knife is a Japanese band that have similarities to The Runaways. The music is catchy in a punky, metallic way. The sound and video here are quite good. I’d never really heard this band before, but I really like this. It’s just lots of fun. I’d highly recommend it to fans of Shonen Knife, but also to those looking to find out what this group is all about. It makes for an excellent introduction, as I know I’ll be looking for more from these ladies.
