The Bee Gees

In Our Own Time DVD

Review by Gary Hill

In many ways the real charm of this DVD is the discussion of the Bee Gees as a family. It brings a personal nature to stories that have often been heard. Of course, this DVD also gets into some of the post Maurice Gibb era, separating it from the others, as well. One could say that it is the best documentary of the band ever released. It is certainly the most complete, although some eras of the group are barely touched upon. So, it’s not perfect, but it’s quite good.

This review is available in book format (hardcover and paperback) in Music Street Journal: 2010  Volume 6 at lulu.com/strangesound.
