Genesis

Live at Wembley Stadium DVD

Review by Gary Hill

While I prefer the proggier side of Genesis, listening to (and watching) this concert, you just can’t deny the charm and power of this music. I’d say that a lot of these selections are progressive rock oriented and the live arrangements are more proggy than the studio takes in some ways. Genesis were a tight band at this time (Invisible Touch tour) and that guarantees and exceptional performance. The sound quality and video quality are both quite good. All in all this is a good concert document that’s quite entertaining.

This review is available in book format (hardcover and paperback) in Music Street Journal: 2011  Volume 1 at lulu.com/strangesound.
