I have to admit, I never heard of this band before. From the music included here, I can tell you that it’s a shame. These guys really rock. This documentary, though, is really interesting as long as you have just an interest in the music business. It’s a classic story of a bunch of friends getting together out of a love of music and starting a band. It’s also the story of how getting some level of success can put a strain on the group and the individuals in that group. This documentary shows the kind of effect that can have on the friendships and working relationships of those people. It really goes a long way toward demonstrating the kind of dynamic that’s seen in so many popular acts. I do have to say that sometimes the accents here are a bit tough to understand to my American ear. When you consider that I watch a lot of BBC America, that says a lot. Still, if you go back and try it a couple times, it should become clear. It’s well worth that extra effort. This is a cool documentary even for those, like myself, who had never heard of these guys before. I would guess that fans of the band would have to love this thing.
