This new release is pretty amazing stuff. It includes both a BluRay and a double audio CD set of the music from the German show presented here as the main feature. The show dates to September 2, 1998 and finds the band in fine form. The sound and video are both exceptional here.

There are a lot of exceptional things about this show. First, the band, along with all the backing musicians are simply on top of their game. The onstage sexual tension that's part of the show between Lisa Fisher and Mick Jagger is entertaining. I'd say that the version of "Paint It Black" might be the best one I've ever heard from these guys. I love the part where they make their way to the back of the arena to a small "B" stage for just the core group to do several tunes, too. I can't really come up with a single negative about this show or this set. It's one of the best from the band, and that says a lot. There is also a bonus of four songs from one of the band's Chicago shows. Those songs are not included on the CD set, but that's kind of for the best. That's not because of any issue with the songs, but just because it's a more authentic experience to have just the actual concert on the CDs.
