I have to admit that my previous experience with the artists documented here is very minor. I mean, as a “Doctor Who” fan, I love The Timelords hit “Doctorin’ the TARDIS.” For that reason, that part of the book was the most interesting to me. I really enjoyed the inside information on the creation of that song.

My lack of knowledge about the musicians involved and the related projects played against me. Also as an American, it really seemed very British, and while I appreciate British culture a lot, I sort of felt like an outsider looking in with my face pressed against the window. It was also a bit easy to get lost in some of the details as I had a lot to absorb.

Still, this was a worthwhile journey. I would imagine that those more closely tied to the scene and music involved would find a greater level of enjoyment. Even for an outsider like myself, though, it was reasonably entertaining and quite informative.
