Ruth-Ann Brown is billed as a reggae singer and this is a single from her debut album. From this song, I would agree in that label only to a small amount. There is certainly a good amount of fusion here, in the musical arrangement. There really is little reggae in the vocals to this piece, but rather more of a soulful pop sound. All in all, it’s a great song and the acapella and instrumental versions each bring a different flavor to the piece. I’d love to hear more from Ruth-Ann Brown. She has a lot of potential.

A pop reggae sort of groove makes up this cut. It’s fun and catchy. It’s definitely got a lot of reggae vibe, but also has hints of Traffic-like fusion. Mind you, those are minor hints. This is really a pop tune, and a cool one at that.
