Sereda

I Got You (digital single)

Review by Gary Hill

I have to say that I'm not a big fan of a lot of modern pop music. This new single from Sereda, though, is an exception to that rule. It stands taller than most of that music in this pop genre.

This review is available in book format (hardcover and paperback) in Music Street Journal: 2017  Volume 6 at  garyhillauthor.com/Music-Street-Journal-2017.

I Got You
The vocal performance on this arguably sells the song. That's why it's a great thing that it's not over-produced like the vocals on a lot of the modern pop music are. This tune has a great mellow electronic vibe to it. Yet there are some soulful leanings. The bits of guitar that are included later are meaty and very cool. All in all, this is a piece of class amidst a genre that's often populated with junk.
