Joshua Worden Cinders Review by Gary Hill I reviewed another release from this artist a while ago. I didn't land that one under progressive rock. The electronic, moody vibe on this EP, though, really earns it a position under that banner as far as I'm concerned. This is classy stuff. Worden managed to create four entertaining and compelling pieces of music here. Bivens Arm There is a cool driving energy to this, but the song is overall sedate. It has a trippy element to it, blended with electronics. My only issue is that the vocals are just a bit over-processed. Still, this is quite effective despite that.

The Wonder This is a full-on progressive piece. Musically it reminds me a bit of something you might hear from Jon and Vangelis. The vocals are different, though. This is cool stuff. I love some of the keyboard work a lot.

Tennessee Pop music and electronic prog sounds merge on this effective and energized number.

Echoes Modern prog elements like Porcupine Tree and The Pineapple Thief define this piece. It's another potent piece of music. This is ends the set on a strong note. The proggy instrumental work mid-track is so tasty.
