The Other Life Moody Review by Gary Hill This extended single or EP has three versions of the same song. The first is the main version, and it is followed by two remixes. While the main song qualifies as electronic dance music, it really is so much more than that. One can't say the same of the two remixes. Moody The beat is immediately established. As the melodic elements join, the cut takes on a cool almost space rock based sound. This is EDM for certain, but there is a darker, meatier element at play here. This has an edge to it that prevents it from being simple light-hearted pop music. It is more meaningful and deeper than that. There is some cool space texture to it. While this would easily work in the club, there is so much more on hand than that.

Moody (Operator S Remix) This loses most of that cool edgy vibe, landing pretty firmly in the rhythm based club music end of the spectrum.

Moody (John Gary Remix) I like this more than the previous remix, but a lot less than the main song. This is more decidedly electronic. It's also rather strange. Still, it has more of a left-of-center edge that the Operator S Remix didn't have at all. There is also a hint of retro texture on this that's cool.
