Ava Cherry

Testify Love (digital single)

Review by Gary Hill

It wouldn't be hard to imagine that this new single would have been a big hit in the disco era. There is a very retro element to this cut. Unlike a lot of modern music, it avoids being over-produced, instead relying on the sort of production that was the norm in those days of the 1970s, It's a bit of nostalgia, but still has some freshness to it.

Testify Love

Rhythmic and electronic, this comes out with a cool groove. As the arrangement fills out a bit, it gets some classy old school soulful sound. The multilayered vocal arrangement is all class. This has some strong hooks and a lot of energy. It's very catchy and entertaining. The funky bass line in the background later is so cool.
