D.G. Adams

Dangerous (digital single)

Review by Gary Hill

I previously reviewed an album from D.G. Adams. That set landed in the singer-songwriter zone. So does this new single. I like this pretty well. It's an interesting tune from an interesting act.

This review is available in book (paperback and hardcover) in Music Street Journal: 2020  Volume 3. More information and purchase links can be found at: garyhillauthor.com/Music-Street-Journal-2020.
Track by Track Review
Dangerous
There is a tasty distorted guitar sound that starts this cut. The number has a mainstream singer-songwriter vibe to it. I dig the bits of synthesizer that comes across the top. The lyrics to this are topical. Female backing vocals bring something special to it. I am a fan of the guitar fills, too. That actual guitar solo is particularly tasty. After the song seems to end, the female voice returns unaccompanied for a short reprise.
