The five songs here run the gamut from folk music to alternative rock and pop and more. I’d say that the vocal performance is the best part of it. Theresa Lucia’s singing is strong and classy. This is quite an effective set of music, really.

Track by Track Review
Boxes There is an alternative roots meets folk sound to this cut. The vocals are potent. The number starts stripped back with just acoustic guitar and vocals, but grows out from there to a slightly more complete arrangement.
Shake the Tree More fully set in an alternative rock sound, this is classy stuff. It does have a folk rock structure and concept to it, though.
The Text This isn’t a big change, but rather another classy alternative rock based cut. I’d say that this is the first tune here without any real folk music elements. I dig the keyboard sound on this a lot.
Pacifier Starting in a similar zone as the previous piece, this gets a hard-edged bluesy rock element added to the mix later along the run. The tune is classy and a nice change of pace. It’s one of my favorites here.
Roll With the Punches This tune comes in mellower, and closer to the sounds of the opener. As it works out from there, bluegrass and folk are prominent features. I like the piano on the number. The tune has a great vibe and builds up nicely.
