Shihori

I Cover You (digital single)

Review by Gary Hill

I have reviewed several songs from Shihori. This is one of my favorites, actually. It feels very genuine. There is a lot of passion built into it. Those two elements really play into the success of the number.

This review is available in book (paperback and hardcover) form in Music Street Journal: 2020  Volume 6. More information and purchase links can be found at: garyhillauthor.com/Music-Street-Journal-2020.

Track by Track Review
I Cover You

Piano brings this cut into being with a rather jazzy sound. The vocals come in over the top after a short time. This is of the female singer/songwriter style. It has some violin and other instrumentation added to the arrangement later, but more as augmentation. It does get pretty powerful as it continues.
