Pagan Metal: A Documentary

Review by Gary Hill

Pagan metal, or folk or Viking metal is a big movement in Europe. This documentary seeks, through interviews with bands in the movement to chronicle the history of the genre and what it’s all about. We get some short clips in between the interviews of live performances. The interviewer is a guy named “Bill Zebub” and he asks some pretty off-the-wall questions at times. Still, this documentary gives some interesting insights into this musical style. I’d recommend it for anyone wanting to understand what’s going on in the world of pagan metal.
