Ian Dury

Rare And Unseen DVD

Review by Gary Hill

Fans of Ian Dury will really love this DVD. Frankly, I think it’s a great introduction to the man, and also an excellent overview for the casual fan. Dury was really punk rock before punk rock was even a thought in the minds of The Ramones. This is a loving tribute to Dury.

It includes some great interviews, including one after he was diagnosed with the cancer that eventually killed him. It also includes 8 live performances with two different bands. Whether you love Dury or not, you’ll find a greater appreciation for the man and his work after seeing this DVD.
