Ian Hunter

Live At Rockpalast Featuring Mick Ronson DVD

Review by Gary Hill

By the time of this concert (1980) Mott the Hoople had been defunct for quite some time. Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson, though, were still working together. This concert was filmed for television and that means the video and sound are good, but certainly not state of the art by today’s standards. It’s Hunter and Ronson so that means the performance is great. These guys definitely rocked and took the audience through a series of Hoople classics, covers and more. It’s great to have a document of this show, and it’s even better that it’s as high in quality as it is. This is highly recommended to Ian Hunter and Mott the Hoople fans.
