Super Duper Alice Cooper DVD

This was released to theaters a while ago. I wish I’d gone to see it then. This is a big story and well-deserving of the big screen. I love the “story” quality of this movie. It really feels like a film rather than your typical rock documentary. There are great bits of archival footage, photography and more interlaced throughout. This just flows really well.

Alice Cooper was a band and also a man. Alice Cooper was a cultural phenomenon. Alice Cooper the man has been a success in many ways, but at times he was an abject failure in terms of his personal life. This documentary captures all that and more. It is a story of following dreams. It is a story of getting great success. It is a story of addiction and the ravages of that scourge. It is the story of victory over addiction. More than anything else, though, this is a rock and roll theater show. While one could argue about what is and is not included in this documentary, I don’t think one could really make arguments about a more entertaining Alice Cooper documentary ever being created. I highly recommend this.
