The Rolling Stones

From the Vault: Hampton Coliseum Live in 1981 DVD

Review by Gary Hill

What an awesome DVD this is. First, while the production isn’t necessarily up to modern standards, this was a filmed for TV pay per view show. So, it’s definitely pro-shot and very good. The concert is awesome, too. The only time I saw the Rolling Stones live was on this tour, so it definitely brings back memories. This particular concert was on Keith Richard’s birthday and there is literally a “Happy Birthday” to him performance here. The set list is great, with tons of hits. The show is over two and a half hours. It’s Rolling Stones excitement. I recommend it very highly to fans of the Stones and fans of rock music in general. This is great.
