Foreigner
Live at The Rainbow '78 Blu-Ray
Review by Gary Hill
This is a live video of Foreigner captured at a real peak in their career. This was before they dropped the group to a four-piece. This was before their flirtation with more pure pop music, too. In fact, at this point they only had two albums out, and many would consider those two their best. This a real rock band in their prime. Videography, particularly concert videography, wasn’t as good back then, so this video does have a tendency toward being dark. It isn’t enough to really mar the experience, though. The sound quality here is great. This is only about an hour-and-fifteen minutes long, featuring 12 songs, but as I mentioned before, they didn't have that much material out yet.
