Robin Gibb

In Concert DVD

Review by Gary Hill

There’s no question Bee Gees and Robin Gibb fans will heartily enjoy this set. The music is great and Gibb’s performance is strong. The only real question is if the DVD is redundant since a longer live set with orchestra was released a few years ago. Add in the fact that most (but not all) of the set is redundant when compared to that film and the problem becomes clear. Still, there are a few new (from that concert) songs presented here. It’s actually common these days for artists to release a live album and/or DVD after every tour. All in all, this is a fine release that will be a welcome addition to every Robin Gibb collection.
