Glen Campbell - I’ll be Me DVD
Review by Gary Hill
This is probably the best music documentary I’ve ever seen. It is a music documentary, but really, it’s so much more.

Glen Campbell - Live Anthology 1972-2001 DVD/CD set
Review by Gary Hill
I can't imagine a better tribute to the music of Glen Campbell. The man had so many hits and transcended so many musical styles.

Canned Heat - Live At Rockpalast 1998 DVD/CD set
Review by Gary Hill
I have to admit to never really being a big fan of Canned Heat. I could always appreciate their contribution to music, and I like their stuff just fine.

Review by Gary Hill
The extended instrumental introduction here includes everything from disco to Led Zeppelin, all delivered before David Cassidy hits the stage. This concert is from 2002.

Cheap Trick - From Tokyo To You (Live In Japan) DVD
Review by Greg Olma
This DVD was released in 2004, a year after Special One was released.  My memory of this time-frame is that while the album was not that big of a hit, the band always delivered the goods live.

Eric Clapton - The 1970s Review DVD
Review by Gary Hill
In some ways the 1970s were Eric Clapton’s most productive, at least in terms of his solo career.

Judy Collins - Love Letter To Sondheim DVD
Review by Gary Hill
In this concert Judy Collins paid special attention to the music of Stephen Sondheim through his songs and some words about those songs. She's backed up by a symphony orchestra.

Phil Collins - A Life Less Ordinary DVD
Review by Gary Hill
This video is not perfect, and is not quite what I was expecting, but is pretty darn interesting. Indeed, I was thinking that I would find a lot of musical snippets and clips, and while there are some (from all phases of Phil's career, I might add), they are short and far and few between, but that is not the true purpose or beauty of this video.

John Coltrane - Jazz Icons: John Coltrane Live in '60, '61 & '65 DVD
Review by Gary Hill
As far as I'm concerned, when it comes to jazz, you just don't get much better than John Coltrane. I guess I'm probably not going out on a limb with that statement.

Alice Cooper - Brutally Live DVD
Review by Gary Hill
Recorded in London on July 19, 2000, this is a great record of Alice's Brutal Planet tour and a killer concert video to boot. The show begins with a warning from the robotic "controller" to get away while you have the chance.

I remember having the two features on this DVD as separate VHS tapes years ago. Those tapes are long gone, so to finally have this in my collection again is great.

Cosmic Psychos - Blokes You Can Trust DVD
Review by Gary Hill
This is an unusual documentary about an unusual band. It’s told almost as more of a personal story and frankly, after watching it, you’ll feel like these guys are just plain “blokes you can trust.”
