This documentary is quite strong. I was always a big fan of The Guess Who, but a bit underwhelmed by BTO.

This video was released under the Wiki.Film banner. Now, I wasn't sure exactly what that meant until I started watching this.

There was another version of this released previously, at least to some degree as "30 Years Of Southern Rock." The way that release was done was a double DVD set with the two shows.

If you dig Black Stone Cherry, you should love this set.

There are certain bands that have such a catalogue and legacy but haven’t really released a lot of visual material. 

After  a short bit of documentary that outlines the British blues movement of the 1960s we’re taken into the concert to continue. It is immediately apparent just how good Joe Bonamassa and his band are as they tear through the opening instrumental medley.

The brilliant Royal Tea album that came from Joe Bonamassa last year was a victim of bad timing.

I had completely forgotten how raw and pure punk the Boomtown Rats were at first. This scorching hot concert really makes that fact clear.

Let’s get one thing out of the way, when you hear the words “live” in terms of a performance, you are likely to assume that it means the music was recorded while the band was performing for an audience.

It would be easy for a cynical person to assume that this was some hastily assembled set to cash in after the death of Jack Bruce.

This is an amazing set. It starts off with two DVDs featuring three shows from the German TV show "Rockpalast." Then they add in five audio CDs with the music from those three shows.
