The Vision gets official release via Pure Steel/Pure Underground Records
June 5th, 2012, Scottsdale, AZ – In 1989 Sacred Heart (featuring Amon-Ra guitarist Byron Nemeth – currently of Byron Nemeth Group) recorded a three-track, cassette only demo entitled “The Vision.” Until now, that EP had never been officially released or available on any format other than cassette. Pure Steel/Pure Underground made the release happen.
In addition to those three songs, the disc includes “Time After Time,” which appeared on an Auburn Records Heavy Artillery sampler in 1989. Another Sacred Heart track, which had never been released in any form is included, too. That song is “Take Hold.” All Sacred Heart songs have been fully re-mastered by Pacifica Studios and as additional bonus this CD also features the previously unreleased BNG (Byron Nemeth Group) 2010 EP. The lineup of Sacred Heart was Byron Nemeth (guitar), Ed Edwards (bass), Brian McIntyre (drums), Keith Van Tassel (vocals) and Mark Herholtz (guitar). Byron Nemeth -
In Metal Kaos Grigoris Chronis wrote of Sacred Heart, “The songs are rolling like thunder; they are heavy and powerful but with a melodic edge while the instrumentation is full and 100% metallic. Dating back to the late 80s, these songs should/would have made it big to the American market if it wasn’t for external circumstances beyond the band’s control.”
