“Lie to Me” video to premiere on April 27th, 2012
April 25th, 2012, Rockford, IL – Rockford musician Clark Colborn will debut his brand new music video for the song “Lie to Me” at the Battle of the EFFN ROCK Finals on April 27th. The video was produced by Rockford film-maker Travis Legge and features actors Deann Baker and Tim Stotz. “Lie to Me” can be found on Colborn’s second album, Again, which was released on January 2nd.
At “Wormwood Chronicles” (wormwoodchronicles.com) Dr. Abner Mality said this about Again, “Clark Colborn plays guitar. That simple statement sums up a lot. In fact, Clark doesn't merely play guitar, he attacks it, he soothes it, he coaxes all manner of sounds from it. The guy is a guitar virtuoso, but much more tasteful than a mere ‘shredder’ who makes the instrument beg for mercy with endless neoclassical arpeggio blasts and brutal polyrhythms.”
Larry Toering of Music Street Journal (musicstreetjournal.com) said of “Lie to Me,” “The vocals here are pretty upbeat for the otherwise aggressive situation the lyrics seem to convey. Whatever the lyrics mean, this is another well written and delivered tune. It is one of the most accessible songs on offer.” At Sea of Tranquility (seaoftranqulity.org) Mark Johnson said, that the song “is full of head-banging rhythm set to blasting drums and electric guitar. Colborn's vocals add more kick to the album as he inserts more of his personality into the mix.”
The video will debut around 9:00 PM on April 27th. The Battle of the EFFN ROCK Finals Shark City, 2240 Bloomingdale Road, Glendale Heights, Illinois. Bands battling for the championship are Fist to the Sky, Negative One and Psychopathic Daze. The entire event runs from 8:30pm to 1:00am, and is produced by Quest Broadcasting and airadionet.com. Tickets are $7 at the door for the entire event.
