The first issue of Music Street Journal was published as a Microsoft Word document emailed to subscribers on February 1^st, 1998. Now, 28 years later, it’s time to step away. The March issue of Music Street Journal will be published at some point after February 28^th. The issue will be the final one for at least a year. Most likely it will be the final issue ever, but it’s possible we’ll come back after a year or so. The music industry has changed so much over the last nearly three decades, and it just seems a good time to step aside from this type of music journalism. The web version and all the books will continue to be available for the foreseeable future.
